When is the next application deadline?

We usually have bi-monthly deadlines, which occur on a Monday at 12noon

The final forthcoming deadline for the small grants round is before noon on:

Monday 28th January 2013.

Who is eligible for Funding?

Funding is available for different kinds of business and organisations, including private businesses, farms (for non-farming activities), sole traders, social enterprises, parish and town Councils, voluntary groups, local community groups and charities.

What types of projects are eligible for funding?


We can fund Projects that support our Making it Local Objectives:

Addresses low carbon and environmentally sustainable priorities of the programme

 

Improves connections between market towns and rural areas.

 

Creates jobs, shows economic benefit and/or improves long-term viability of a business or other organisation

 

Improves access to services or improves long-term viability of a community asset

 

Demonstrates benefit to rural areas

 

Provides connections with landscapes

 

Examples of project areas we can fund include:
Community facilities, businesses working together, community shops, business creation and growth, arts and crafts, cultural activites, rural skills.

What types of projects are not eligible for funding?

We cannot fund
Statutory services and work to meet statutory requirements, continuation funding for existing activities or services, repairs or maintenance work, projects that duplicate existing businesses and facilities, food production, general motor vehicles (specialist vehicles may be eligible), projects that duplicate or displace resources in rural areas, stand alone/ single sports facilities, projects that could be supported by alternative funding sources.
